Upcoming Health and Fitness Events in Fort Collins and Beyond


First of all, we want to say a HUGE “thank you!” to everyone who came out to our triathlon at New Belgium last month. We all had a blast and just can’t get over what an amazing, active community we live in. Since we know you’re always looking for fitness events in Northern Colorado, we’ve collected quite a few in the upcoming month or so for you to check out. Enjoy!

FORTitude 10K Scheels Fun Run—August 10th

Thinking about signing up for the FORTitude 10K? Then this is the perfect pre-race event for you. This free fun run starting at Scheels in Johnstown will provide you a chance to run with other running enthusiasts and earn a $5 off coupon towards the actual FORTitude Race. The Scheels event begins at 8 am and the store is also offering 20% off running gear all day as well as an awesome giveaway.

Fitness Festival Events at Scheels—August 17th

Come out to Scheels for a great back-to-back HIIT and yoga workout with our friends from Orangetheory and CorePower Yoga. You’ll have the chance to enter some giveaways and get exclusive discounts on athletic gear at Scheels that day too. This is a free event but make sure you sign up here, because space is limited! The workouts will take place in the east parking lot and last from 9 am – 11:30 am.

Fort Collins Peach Festival 5K—August 17th

The Fort Collins Peach Festival—a staple of our community to be sure! And what better way to start your day of stuffing your face with peaches than with a 5K? Race entry also includes entry to the festival itself, and a peach pancake breakfast for participants. Proceeds of the race go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County.

Tour de Fat—August 31st

It doesn’t get more Fort Collins than Tour de Fat. But if you’ve never been to the event, you are in for a treat. Imagine more bicycles than you have ever seen, people in the craziest costumes, and of course, lots of New Belgium beer! Join in the bike parade from 10 am- 12 pm and then stick around for the festivities at New Belgium Brewery from 11 am- 6 pm.

FORTitude 10K—September 2nd

This epic 10K race takes runners all over the best parts of Fort Collins—the historic neighborhoods, Old Town, CSU campus, and finishes at Sonny Lubick Field at Canvas Stadium. This is only the third year of the FORTitude 10K Classic, held on Labor Day, but each year has been more wonderful than the last. Come out to run and celebrate Fort Collins!

3Hopeful Hearts Community 5K—September 8th

Want to contribute to a good cause? Consider running or walking the 3Hopeful Hearts 5K in support of 3 Hopeful Hearts. Three Hopeful Hearts is a non-profit that helps families in Northern Colorado who have lost a child. When you participate in this race, you give to a valuable cause. Kids are superheroes, and this year for the fun run every child gets a cape to decorate.

Fort Collins Fitness Festival—September 21st

The Fort Collins Fitness Festival is the event we’ve been gearing up for all year, and it’s just around the corner. Get your tickets (check out our different ticket options on our website!) and get ready for a day of sweat, food, and friends. A 5K, group workouts with world-renown fitness instructors, vendors, beer garden, and kids zone, are all just part of what you will experience.

CerusLuv 2019—Septemeber 21st

If you haven’t heard of Cerus yet, they are the next obstacle course race you need to check out. CerusLuv is for both competitive racers and those who have never done an obstacle race before. Fall Equinox Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5 Mile—September 22nd

For those of you looking for a chance to push your endurance to the max, Green Events is putting on a marathon, half-marathon, and 5 mile run on September 22nd. The half-marathon course begins at the Mishawaka Amphitheater and travels down the Poudre Canyon which is sure to set you up for a PR! Of course, no Fort Collins race would be complete without food and beer at the finish line.

Life Revolution Summit—September 28th & 29th

Join Fitness Festival Events founder, Rachel Pastor, and many other brilliant thought leaders at this two-day Life Revolution Summit. The purpose of the summit is to challenge your thinking on health, relationships, money, and mindset. If you need something to give you that next push of motivation and encouragement, this event is it.
